READING PHOTOS(3+)

Location: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Photographer: Sebastian Liste
Original caption:
The leader of the Papo Reto collective receives an image of a 22-year-old taxi driver who was shot dead by a police officer on February 8, 2015. A group of friends from Alemão, a slum in Rio de Janeiro, formed a media collective called Papo Reto, or "straight talk". Social media allow them to report stories from their community otherwise ignored by traditional media.

Reading Question 1:

There's a man been shot dead in the streets, a people is looking at a photo about it.
Reading Question 2:
I will name it " Straight Talk "
Reading Question 3:
This photo is worth remembering is because that it shows that nowadays people have their own power to get their information, and show them to other people, too. Because of tech, we can have the power to uncover other sides of the same stories and understand them better.

Location: Shanxi, China
“China's Coal Addiction.” Chinese men pull a tricycle in a neighborhood next to a coal-fired power plant in Shanxi, China, on November 26, 2015. A history of heavy dependence on burning coal for energy has made China the source of nearly a third of the world's total carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, widely cited by scientists and environmentalists as the primary cause of global warming.

Reading Question 1:
I see a lot of tall chimneys discharging gas, and people walking on the frozen street.
the houses aren't tall and they are two men pulling a tricycle.
Reading Question 2 :
The most important part of the picture is that there are so many chimneys letting out gas that can harm people, but the people there are still using coal and even live close to the factories.
Reading Question 3:
I might feel tired and not feel well if I'm living in this photograph. There are so many gas that might harm me and I'm inhaling al those gas all the time. Even more, if I live there, I might need to work in the factory for long hours, so I might feel really tired.

Marrakesh, Morocco, is an exciting city for any traveler, but I was tired of walking on the crowded street and being asked for money from local people, so I was looking for a place to settle down. Even though there were a lot of people in Ben Youssef Madrasa, it was still a more quiet and relaxing place than outside. Suddenly a beautiful reflection appeared on the shallow pool when I was taking a rest.

Reading Questions 1:
From a scale from 1 to 10, I will probably give it a 9. I think the photographer did a great job about capturing the perfect moment, if you cut this picture in half, you can notice that the left side and the right side is equal, so is the upper part and the lower part. it create a beauty formed by equality.

If I have this photo, I might take it to a photography contest. I probably will print it and make it into a bigger version, hang it in my house, too.

The place that the photographer is in is a school, so there might be some sounds of people reading, teacher talking.....etc
