SELF PORTRAIT

   Artist Statement:

1. In what ways do you think you need to improve?
I think I really need to improve on my photoshop skills because my photos still seems kinda raw,  you can still see things in the photo that indicates I have photoshopped it. I need to improve my photoshop skills to make it look better.

2. In what ways have you got better at this kind of work?
I think compared to my previous photos, my work this time have improved on the connection between my photo and the meaning I want to tell.  I didn't do a good job on previous projects that requires the photos have to contain symbolism because I didn't really think of what's the photo's meaning going to be when I take them. Now I will think about what's my photo going to tell people before I take them.

3. What was especially satisfying to you about either the process or the finished product?
I would say it's the process. It's always fun to create a good photo, and when you're making it, you can feel the endless possibilities the photo have and you can have the choice to create it into any way you want.

4. What do you find frustrating about it?
I would say it'll be the quality of the photo, I thought I would do a better job in making my photo look not that amateur, but the final work doesn't really looks like what I wanted to do at first.

5. If you're the teacher, what comments will you make about this piece?
I would say this piece contains a lot of meaning in it, and I can feel there's a lot of emotion in these photos waiting for us to discover, too.

6. What grade will you give it, why?
I will give this piece an A, it's looks really good and there's a lot of meaning and things for me to discover, but the creator of this can spend a little more time on photoshop and make this photo look better.

7. What's the one thing that you've seen you've seen in your classmates' work that you would like to try next time?
One of my classmates combined the shape of an animal with her own photos, it made the photo look
really good and made her photo looks like a pro one. I want to try to put my own photo into other things' shape another time, maybe It'll make my photo look better!

8. What would you change if you have the chance to do this piece over again?
I would make one of two of my photos in a a different way, such as blur or light writing.....
and I will try to make more adjustments to make my photo looks like a pro one.
